Where Can I Serve?
Portland General Baptist has so many opportunities for everyone! We are currently looking for a Youth Pastor. We have a community outreach program, special days committee, choir, and so many other things! Come meet us and we would be more than happy to welcome you
Outreach Ministry
Outreach plays a big part in our church. We have our community outreach program which we are currently feeding the children of Sumner County 5 breakfast, lunches, and snacks every Saturday until school starts back up. We also have a family that is ministering in Guam at the moment, and we support them throughout their journey.
Music Ministry
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Children’s Ministry
We have an amazing group to care for our children on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s. But more importantly our group does more than that, they check in and make sure that they have everything they need to learn more about God. We have gone on outing with the kids, go on summer camp trips, movie nights, and so much more! All while having fun the best part is watching these kids grow into amazing children of God.
Youth Ministry
While we are looking for a Youth Pastor to show our youth the way through life with God, we have an excellent group of people who take time to lead classes and studies. Like our children’s ministry we do the summer camp, they go on fun outings and so much more! Our church family shows the youth love and encouragement while they learn the ropes of life.
New Discipleship class
We have currently added a new Sunday school class to our church. This class is for new beginners who are in their adult years. this class is not just for young adults though! We welcome anyone who is from ages 18 to 100. While this class is being led by one our trustees, we come together and voice our thoughts and questions to better understand the word of God.
